Steven Truitt, the author, is a systems engineer in the northern virginia area. While professionally dedicated to space-related technologies, in time off I enjoy perfecting the finer things in life. I’m Not So Dumb is more than just a tongue-in-cheek phrase to me; while obviously intended to evoke a smirk, it is a constant reminder that I am in fact not dumb. That philosophy translates to everything I do: if I do it, I plan on doing it well and in an educated, or at least somewhat sensible manner.
Let’s not assume this means I am free from screwups as the opposite is in fact the case, I make mistakes ALL THE TIME. I would not have it any other way however, as I have learned more from my mistakes, blunders and embarassments than I could have possibly learned through my natural successes. The goal of this site, in addition to being my foot forward and a stress reliever is to highlight some of the lessons learned in these situations.
